What is the best way to make an appointment?
We only accept appointments over the phone. Please call our studio at (201) 857-4971.
How do I know which haircut style will suit me best?
We always begin with a consultation so your stylist can assess your face shape, hair texture, lifestyle, and personal style. We’ll look at reference photos you love, talk about how much time you want to spend styling, and then we’ll recommend cuts (lob, layers, blunt, bob, etc.) that flatter you and work with your hair’s natural movement.
How far in advance should I book a color appointment?
For best availability, especially on weekends, try to book 2–3 weeks ahead. If you’re doing more complex services like balayage, color change or correction, you may want to reserve even earlier. That gives us time to prep your hair (e.g. conditioning, porosity checks) so you get optimal results.
Will coloring my hair damage it? What do you do to protect it?
While any chemical service can stress hair, our stylists use professional-grade L’Oréal Professionnel formulas and bond-repair systems to minimize damage. We often incorporate treatments (like bond rebuilders, masks, or glosses) within or after the color process. We also evaluate your hair’s current health and may recommend strengthening treatments before doing major color shifts.
How often should I get a treatment?
It depends on your hair’s condition, your color frequency, and your styling habits. For many clients, a deep-conditioning or bond-repair treatment every 4–6 weeks (often paired with a color or haircut) is ideal. If your hair is very dry, chemically processed, or frequently heat styled, we might suggest more frequent (e.g. every 3–4 weeks) treatments to maintain resilience and shine.
Do I need a makeup trial before my event or wedding?
Yes — especially for weddings or big events. A trial gives us time to refine your look, test products (how they wear through the day, in lighting, photographs), and ensure you feel totally comfortable. It also gives you confidence that what you see in the trial will be what you get on your special day.
What should I bring to my bridal hair & makeup appointment or trial?
Please bring photos of styles you love (hair and makeup), a swatch or image of your dress, any hair accessories or veil, and the shoes (if height matters). Also, come with a clean, makeup-free face so the artists can start fresh. If you’re wearing extensions or have special hairpieces, bring those too.
Can I combine services (e.g. cut + color + treatment) in one visit?
Absolutely. Many clients prefer to bundle services to make their salon visit more efficient. During your consultation, we’ll map out timing, ensure hair health, and suggest the best order (for instance: treatment → color → cut, or cut → treatment → color) to achieve optimal results while respecting the integrity of your hair.
How do I maintain my salon color or makeup look at home between visits?
For color, we recommend using professional-grade color-safe shampoos, conditioners, and gloss or toning treatments (which we can provide or recommend). Minimize heat damage by using a heat protectant and lower temperature settings. For makeup, we’ll show you how to refresh a look (e.g. adding a touch of blush or lip) during the day. We can also suggest a curated “touch-up kit” of essentials to keep in your bag.
What is the cost difference between a regular and advanced color service?
Color pricing can vary based on complexity. A root touch-up or toner service may be less intensive than a full balayage, multiple foils, or corrective color, which may require more time, product, or multiple sessions. During consultation, your stylist will provide an estimate based on your hair length, thickness, desired result, and condition.
What happens if my hair doesn’t turn out the way I expected?
We always aim for your hair to exceed expectations, but if you’re unhappy with the result (color, style, or texture), we want to fix it. We ask that you contact us within a certain timeframe (e.g. within 7 days) so we can evaluate and adjust. Whether it’s refining the tone, adjusting the cut, or adding a corrective treatment, we’ll work with you until you feel beautiful and confident.
